Student Corner
The college expects disciplined, ethical, and responsible conduct from students and teachers to maintain a safe and academically focused campus environment.
Students
Code of Conduct for Students
Students joining the college are strictly bound by the rules and regulations of the college.
Every student must obtain on admission, and wear his / her Identify Card affixed with latest photograph duly attested.
Attendance at lectures and tutorials is mandatory. 75% of Attendance of students in theory, practicals and tutorials will be required of the total number of lectures, practical and tutorials conducted in the term. Students who do not fulfill the requirements of the minimum attendance of 75% due to medical reasons or circumstances beyond their control are required to submit their valid explanation with documentary evidence to the Head of the Institution for condoning the deficiency. Decision of the Principal for condonation will be final.
In case of illness, a student must apply for leave, with a medical certificate. He / She must personally report to the Prof. In- Charge / Vice-Principal on resuming classes.
Ragging is strictly prohibited in higher educational institutions, as per the directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court and University Grants Commission has made provision of 6.1 (0) of the UGC Regulations, 2009. Students involved in any form of ragging-verbal, physical or mental will be severely punished.
Smoking, chewing pan, pan-masala, gutka, gambling, consumption of alcoholic drinks and use of hallucinogenic drugs and other illegal substances, of the possession of such substances, anywhere in the institute campus, is strictly forbidden.
Students must not loiter on the College premises while classes are going on.
Students shall not do anything either inside or outside the College that will in any way interfere with its orderly conduct and discipline.
No Society or Association can be formed in the college and no person invited to address a meeting without the Principal's prior permission and sanction.
No student shall collect any money or contribution for picnic, trip, educational visit to any place, get- together, study-notes, charity or any other activity without prior sanction of the Principal.
Students are expected to take proper care of college property and to help in keeping the premises neat and clean. Causing damage to the property of the College, e.g. disfiguring walls, doors, fittings, or breaking furniture, etc., is a breach of discipline and the guilty will be duly punished.
Students should not leave their books, valuables and other belongings in the classroom or any other place in the college.
The College is not responsible for lost property or valuables such as mobile phones, laptops, cash, etc. Students are expected to take care of their belongings.
Students applying for Certificates, testimonials, etc. and those requiring the Principal's signature on any kind of documents or applications should first contact the Office Superintendent. Students should not bring any paper directly to the Principal for his/her signature.
If, for any reason, the continuance of a student in the College, is, in the opinion of the Principal, detrimental to the best interest of the College, the Principal may ask such a student to leave the College.
Insubordination and unbecoming language or misconduct on the part of a student are sufficient reasons for his/her suspension or dismissal from the college.
Students receiving Government or College Scholarships or any remission in fees, must note that the grant and continuance thereof are subject to their good behavior, regular attendance and satisfactory academic performance at College and University Examinations.
All College activities must be organized under the guidance and supervision of the Principal and Professor In-Charge with prior permission only.
Students must not associate themselves with any activity not authorized by the College Principal. Serious view will be taken of students found organizing or participating in such unauthorized activities.
Students using unfair means at examinations will be dealt with strictly in accordance with university rules.
Use of cell phones is banned inside classrooms, college office, library and examination rooms. Any student found guilty of using mobile during classroom teaching or exams, his cell phone will be confiscated and enquiry will be initiated against him/her.
It is the responsibility of the student to read the notice boards regularly for important announcements made by the College authorities from time to time. They will not be excused or be given any concession on grounds of ignorance.
Students are prohibited from using college name for any private or individual event. Violation may lead to permanently debarring such students from the college.
Students, boys as well as girls must observe decency in their dress while in the college. Indecent dresses will not be permitted anywhere in campus.
Students are advised not to indulge in any prohibited, illegal and unethical, immoral activities inside and outside the college campus, or else, they will be liable for punishment as per institute rules.
Any damage to or theft of college property will invite very strict action, including dismissal.
Matters not covered under the existing rules will rest at the absolute discretion of the Principal.
The college does not organize any overnight tour without taking an undertaking from the parent / guardian.
Students are expected to behave in an orderly manner on all occasions and to obey the instructions that are notified from time to time.
Students are forbidden to carry fire arms or any other weapon in the institution premises.
Teachers
Code of Conduct for Teachers
The teachers should uphold the vision and mission of the College, and work for the holistic development of the students.
All the teachers should be present in the college at the proper time and no staff member will leave the premises without the prior permission of the principal.
They should mark the attendance online, and maintain the documentation in the Attendance Register entrusted to them.
The teachers hold the responsibility of maintaining the general discipline of the campus, and anything that is seen inappropriate should be reported to the Principal.
They should maintain a personal contact with the students, and the class tutors and mentors have greater responsibility in the well-being of the students of their respective classes. Each Tutor and Mentor should keep the contact details of their students and their parents.
All the teachers should keep the Code of Professional Ethics for University and College Teachers given by UGC and the other statutory bodies from time to time.
Whoever adopts teaching as a profession assumes the obligation to conduct himself/herself in accordance with the ideals of the profession. A teacher is constantly under the scrutiny of his/her students and the society at large. Therefore, every teacher should see that there is no incompatibility between his/her precepts and practices.
Teachers should continuously strive for professional growth through study and research.
They should express free and frank opinion by participation at professional meetings, seminars, conferences, etc. towards the contribution of knowledge. They should perform their duties in the form of teaching, tutorial, practical and seminar work and other administrative work given to them from time to time conscientiously and with dedication.
They should cooperate and assist in carrying out functions relating to the educational responsibilities of the College and the university such as: assisting in appraising applications for admission, advising and counselling students as well as assisting in the conduct of university and College examinations, including supervision, invigilation and evaluation.
They should participate in extension, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities including community service.
They should refrain from taking part in or subscribing to or assisting any activity, which tends to promote feeling of hatred or enmity among different communities, religions or linguistic groups but actively work for national integration.
